Noah Bendix-Balgley, Concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic

On August 28 and 29, over 150 alumni, current Wells Scholars, faculty members and Friends of the Wells Scholars Program convened on the Bloomington campus to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Wells Scholars Program. For the first time in the program’s history, we honored the achievements of our alumni by giving out three Distinguished Alumni Awards. One of the winners, Noah Bendix-Balgley, could not attend, for a very good reason: he was starting his new season as the first concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic. But he took time out of a busy weekend to send us a video message from Berlin. And you even get to hear him play! Noah has given us permission to share his film!
